Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 6, 2026  ·  Famylink by Greenapps

Famylink ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. By using Famylink, you agree to the practices described here.

Famylink uses only publicly visible online-presence information and does not access, read, or store the content of anyone's messages or calls. Famylink is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any messaging platform or social network.

1. Definitions

2. Information We Collect

Anonymous Device Account

Famylink does not require you to create a username, email address, or password. When you first launch the app, we automatically create an anonymous device account using Firebase Authentication. This account is identified only by a randomly generated device ID (Firebase UID) and is tied to your device, not to you personally.

Phone Numbers You Follow

To use the Service, you add the phone numbers you want to follow, together with a label (name) you choose. We store only these numbers and labels, associated with your anonymous device account. You confirm in the app that you have permission to follow each number, and you must not add a number without the knowledge and consent of its owner.

The online/offline status shown in the app is derived from publicly visible presence information only. Where a number has a publicly visible profile photo, the app may display it as that contact's avatar. We do not access, read, collect, or store the content of any messages, calls, or contacts, and we do not access data stored on your device or anyone else's.

Usage Data

We may collect technical information when you use the Service, including:

Support Communications

If you contact our support team through the in-app support feature, we retain the messages you send and our responses for the purpose of resolving your request. If you delete your account, your support tickets and messages are deleted along with it.

3. How We Use Your Information

4. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA / GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, our legal basis for collecting and processing your information depends on the context:

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party providers to operate the Service. Each has access only to the data required to perform their function and may not use it for other purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

6. Analytics & Advertising Identifiers

Famylink is a native iOS application and does not use browser cookies. We do not display ads, do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies; for this reason the app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. Firebase Analytics may use the Identifier for Vendor (IDFV) solely to compile aggregate, anonymous usage statistics within the app.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your anonymous device account exists. When you delete your account, your personal data — including your support tickets and messages — is removed from our systems immediately; residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days, except where a longer retention period is required by law.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by using Settings → Delete Account inside the app. This immediately removes your device account, all followed numbers, subscription records, and any other personally identifiable data from our systems.

8. Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside your country. When we transfer personal data from the EEA to other regions, we do so using mechanisms that provide adequate protection (such as Standard Contractual Clauses), or under an applicable exception.

9. Disclosure of Data

We may disclose your personal information only in the following circumstances:

10. Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure token storage on the device (iOS Keychain), and access controls on our servers. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the app and provided data, please contact us at support@greenapps.me and we will take steps to remove that information.

12. Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding. EEA residents have the right to lodge a complaint with their local Data Protection Authority.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app and updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after the change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
